The Lebanon football team is scheduled to travel to Mount Vernon this Friday for their opening season jamboree.

One of the players to watch at the jamboree and for the season is defensive lineman Mark Webster.

Webster, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior will be a key pass rusher at one of the defensive end positions.

Webster is a returning starter and finished the 2016 season with seven solo tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery, and 15 total tackles on the season.

“He is a long athletic, defensive end that has a great motor,” Lebanon head football coach Will Christian said. “He is undersized a little bit, but his aggressiveness and makes up for it.

“We know he is going to going to be explosive and work his tail off for the team this fall.”

The Daily Record recently caught up with Webster to talk to him about his senior season and the expectations for the 2017 Yellowjackets.
