Sidney Eugene Quipp

Sidney Eugene Quipp, 82, of Lebanon, died Sunday morning, Sept. 10, 2017, in Lebanon.

He was born Feb. 4, 1935, in New Liano, La. to Frank and Mona Hathaway Quipp.

He was united in marriage to Beverly June Edmonds.

Sidney was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Roger Allen Quipp and Frank Henry Quipp III; two sisters and four brothers.

He was born in Louisiana and then moved with his family to Wisconsin at the age of two. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War. Throughout the years he worked as a mechanic in an automobile manufacturing plant for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Quipp, of Lebanon; three sons, Sidney L. Quipp and wife, Donna, of Lebanon; David Quipp, of Stockton, Calif. and Quentin Quipp, of Stockton, Calif.; one daughter, Tammy Lynn Quipp, of Lebanon; two sisters, Jennifer and Iona; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial for Sidney Quipp will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

A memorial has been established and donations can be made through the funeral home.
