Robert “Bob” Rost, 81, of Marshfield, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, in Cox Medical Center South.

He was born May 31, 1936 in Marshfield, Mo.

Bob was co-owner of Rost Ready Mix in Marshfield and a member of the Ebenezer Church and attended Prospect Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hugh and Thelma Bennett;  one sister, Lois Fraker; one brother, James Lowell Rost;  and three brothers-in-law, John Criger, Joe Paul Cleir and Kenneth Bennett.

Survivors include his wife Shirley; two sons and their wives, Keith and Cary Rost, Aurora, and Brian and Karen Rost, Marshfield; one daughter, Tracy Underwood and her friend Sammy Halford, of Galena; two grandsons, Jordan Rost and Hunter Rost, both of Marshfield; two brothers and their wives, Donald and Leona Rost, of Marshfield, and E.L. and Delores Rost, of Marshfield; two sisters, June Criger, of Marshfield, and Phoebe Cleir, of Marshfield; brother-in-law, Don Fraker, of Marshfield; sister-in-law, Sharon Bennett, Troutdale, Ore.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Robert “Bob’’ Rost will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 in the Marshfield First Baptist Church.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the church.
