Richard Lee "Rick'' Mizer

Richard Lee "Rick'' Mizer, 55, of Lebanon, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, in Lebanon.

He was born Sept. 13, 1961, in Lebanon, Mo. to Kenneth Keith and Iva Louise Bryant Mizer.

Rick graduated from Lebanon High School, Drury University, and the Forest Institute. He received His Ph.D in Psychology. He was a psychologist practicing in Licking Penitentiary and Fort Leonard Wood. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, and had B&B Shop for several years. He also enjoyed horseback riding, fishing with his grandchildren, and drag racing.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his parents, Keith and Iva Lou Mizer, of Lebanon; one son, Brandon Lee Mizer, of Lebanon; three daughters, Katelyn Tipton (Kory); Brittany Roden (Wade), both of Lebanon, and Katelyn Pogue, of Poplar Bluff; his companion and partner, Patty Rogers, of Lebanon, and her sons, Travis Rogers, of Stoutland, and Joseph Rogers, of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, including Tinslea Owen, Karter Tipton, Kalli and Victoria Mizer, Lyla and Wyatt Farris, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service and burial for Richard Lee "Rick'' Mizer will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Hufft Cemetery near Eldridge with the Rev. Gary Sheets officiating, under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at their convenience at Shadel's Colonial Chapel in Lebanon.
