Lilburn James Detherage

Lilburn James Detherage, 73, of Phillipsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, in Mercy Hospital Springfield.

He was born May 8, 1944, in Lebanon, Mo. to Robert and Jessie (Decker) Detherage.

On Sept. 7, 1963, he married Caroline Engle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Caroline (Engle) Detherage; two infant children, Jeanette and Sean; six brothers, Paul, George, Herman, Robert, Leonard, and Alvie, and a sister, Lillie.

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Welch and husband, Nathen, of Lebanon; two granddaughters, Jessie Detherage and Whisper Kane, all of Lebanon; great-granddaughter, Connor Curtis; brothers and sisters, Elsie Ware and husband, Richard, of Lebanon; Gary Detherage and wife, Eliza, of Utah; Carl Detherage and wife, Jean, of Lebanon; Glen Dale Detherage and wife, Faye, of Washington state; Bonnie Detherage, of Missouri; Virginia Little, of Niangua; Mae Belle Decker, of Indiana; Roger Detherage and wife, Janet, of Springfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Celebration Visitation for Lilburn James Detherage will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield.
