Dorothy June Gentzler

Dorothy June Gentzler, 67, of Kansas City, formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday evening, July 9, 2017, in North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo.

She was born May 20, 1950, in Lebanon, Mo. to Charley P. and Dorothy Fraham Biggs.
Dorothy married Troy Gentzler in 2001, after spending several years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony, on April 5, 2009, and two brothers, Dale and Darrell Biggs.

Throughout the years she was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. She always put her family first and enjoyed following the activities of her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Russell Light and his wife, Maria, of St. Joseph; three daughters, Leslie Hallick and her husband, Tommy, of Corpus Christi, Texas; Jennifer Grossman and her husband, Jay, of Gladstone and Tamara Gentzler and her fiance', Brandon, of Kansas City; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, John Norman, of Lebanon; four sisters, Janie Howe, of Kansas City; Pat Hough, of Clearwater, Fla.; Nancy Thompson, of Grand Island, Neb. and Edith Rogers, of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Wayne Light, of Kansas City.

A graveside service and burial for Dorothy June Gentzler will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Lonesome Hill Cemetery, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Friends may call at their convenience in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
