Lebanon Middle School students will perform Disney’s Alice in Wonderland at 7 pm. Thursday through Saturday at the middle school.
Drama teacher LIndsey Marcum, who is codirecting the play with choir teacher Corban Wendt, explained that the musical is based on the animated Disney movie, but it includes songs and references from other Disney shows.
“It’s for all ages,” Marcum said. “It’s not just for little kids. Younger kids will enjoy it — very young. Adults will enjoy it because we’ve known this story for a very long time. It’s been around for a very long time, obviously, but also it has, like I said, those insertions from history and other Disney shows that they’ve done in the past, and just shows that you know of. There’s a “Gilligan’s Island” reference, there’s a Charlie Brown reference and some jokes that are inserted in. It really is kind of a comedy — it’s funny.”
