Lebanon’s Boswell Aquatic Center closes for the season Sunday. Revenues from the pool pay for its lifeguards. Weather has been a factor in pool attendance, according to Elliot Wilburn, assistant director of parks and recreation. He said June saw 5,284 swimmers and July saw 4,246. After its closing, the pool shell will be recaulked and painted. For next year, Wilburn is exploring the addition of a new play feature and the rental of a portion of the pool for birthday parties during regular pool hours. Wilburn said this worked well in a trial run.
