Heavy rains could cause flooding

Laclede County is one of several counties that could experience flooding as a slow-moving storm system travels across the area beginning today.

At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook in which it predicted that scattered showers and thunder storms would move into the region after midnight last night and spread southeast to a Joplin-to-Eldon line by 7 a.m. today.
