During the current school year, four Lebanon High School students have tested positive for drugs out of 174 possible students during the nine testing sessions this school year.

All four positive results have been for THC, the main active chemical ingredient in marijuana, according to Lebanon High School Activities Director Will Christian.

Christian said during an interview Monday morning that the results are ‘fairly consistent’ over the four years he has proctored the test, and he anticipates that will be the case if the program stays as it is.

“Drug use in our country is a problem that is always trying to be dealt with,” Christian said. “Our drug testing program, much like all other schools who use the program, is designed as a method of prevention.”
