If Lebanon Police Department Detective Brandy Christman’s passion in life could be summed up in one word, it might be children.

This includes her own children—ages 15, 13, and almost one—of course, but also the children of Lebanon.

“I’m pretty protective over my kiddos, and I’m pretty protective over anybody’s kiddos if I have to deal with cases involving them,” Christman said.

The majority of the cases she investigates are child abuse cases, which she said could be a depressing task for some.

“They bother me, but I think that I keep my focus on teaching the suspects a lesson if it really happened, and as long as I keep that in mind, then everything is okay,” Christman said.
