City continues work on Catherine Street

Lebanon Public Works crews were out Monday working to install a new water line near the intersection of Wood and Catherine streets and will replace old pipes all the way to Pearl Street. When the sewer work is completed, the area will be cleaned up and grass seed will be planted. Catherine Street is currently closed to traffic while construction is under way.

Lebanon residents will have to put up with road closings and muddy streets while a sewer and water line replacement project is under way.

Motorists can expect to see work in progress along Catherine Street this week. According to an announcement from the city, electric crews plan to relocate a pole at the corner of Catherine and Sarah streets sometime this week.

Water crews are continuing to install a new water line near the intersection of Wood and Catherine streets and and moving on toward Sarah Street. Sewer crews are beginning to replace sewer lines at Sarah and Catherine and moving toward Wood Street.

The area on Catherine Street has been closed for construction, and the city says motorists must use use alternate routes.
